i have a file titled [XVID - ITA] Secretary.avi
actuly, I found a few files with this name XVID - ITA. but for the life of me i cant play them. I tried the latest codec packs dvix and xvid aswell, but all of my players cand read the file format?

if you EVER have any probs with ANY avi files, download gspot and run it through it.

I'm assuming you've downloaded it via bittorrent and it's not complete, though.

there is no need to make enemies here. your guess is wrong but yes its a file i dolwloaded. I know the file is playable, just not why it wont play on my computer. After all it was just a question a simple "this doesnt
belong on this board" will do.

No offence meant. The forums are tailored more towards video editing, and we always recommend users post a comment at www.dvdrhelp.com (or such like) to deal with queries like this.
