Default Entry from Mark Wataon.

Four weeks of my life.
2 hours of tape.
24 hours of editing.
10,000 frames.

Typically 'zaskaresque' I think.

Contains swearing and an ugly git looking rough...
1 meg stream.

http://www.zaskarfilms.com/Films/ladolcevita4.wmv

You tube version, crap quality.

YouTube - La Dolce Vita - recovering from love gone bad.

This wasnt originally planned to be an entry or even a film. It was a video diary I kept after Beccy dumped me after 2 years. It was something I did to get me through the shit times. However as things turned out I thought it would be interesting to squeeze the whole heartbreak to reacovery story into six minutes, a journey back to la dolce vita.

Also, I have never really made a film about myself and reflexive film making is all the rage at the moment so I tht this was a golden oppertunity to give it a try. It actually makes me laugh to watch it.

Edit 17.7 - now re edited - much shorter - sound better - titles better - well i think so.
Edit 21.7 - now fiddled fx and original s track by pylonking. Thats it done now, promise

Blimey!

I think you're incredibly brave to bare your soul online like this. To show yourself as raw and vulnerable as this takes a lot of bottle. I couldn't do it. Very moving and thought prevoking.

Women! You can't live with 'em... and you can't shoot 'em.

Brave or reckless ? Well, if I want to bare other peoples souls on film as a film maker I tht it only fair that i treat myself to the same treatment.

Very good, I liked how your mood evolved throughout the film, nice editing as well, some parts made me chuckle: "Just give me a resolution!". And indeed, very brave.

Thanks - every day you should do something that scares you - that was a weeks worth, and also like i said if i want to make challenging documenarys one day, and i do, then exploiting peoples pain for my ego /bank account is what i will be doing - only fair to put myself in the spotlight.

Also the flim maker part of me was so chuffed with the result I just had to go public - it cracks me up now.

I never thought that diary would turn into such a soap opera.
