Sniper scope - why simulate.........

....when you can film a real one?

A couple of lunchtime's effort at work:

There's an ulterior motive for this, but it'll be a tool to add to a planned video of Field Target shooting I want to make next year. Still plenty to figure out, but it's getting there. I'll put up a full image through the scope when I've sorted it and have some daylight. For now here's the reticule in view, the inside of my house is too close to see anything in a rifle scope of this type, and I will be using a more interesting looking one than this for the actual vid:

Nice work - It'll be interesting to see what the recoil does to the camera innards though

Nothing whatsoever.

This type of rifle is known as a 'Pre-Charged Pneumatic', PCP. And for all intents and purposes there is no recoil at all, and they are extremely quiet, inaudible from 20 yards away, when you first use one of these it's almost unbelievable that it's ejecting projectiles at all.

Jerry - if we had a prize for most innapropriate camera accessorie you would surely walk it.

LOL! I've seen a vid somewhere of a guy who shot a video camera out of an air cannon. It was an ATC1000, I have one of those

Jerry, I seriously think this is the next logical step! I'm off to youtube now to witness a video camera being fired from an air canon! Ah, the simple things in life..
