Low light DVCam recommendation??

Hey all,

I'm looking for a camara that will perform well in low light situations. I'm not going to be editing the footage.

this is what I'm looking at right now.

Panasonic PV-GS500

my question is: are there other choices you would recommend?? Budget upto $1000.
