Default Mini DV Tapes

Hi, ive had problems with filming, on playback the footage jumps, from reading the posts the tape heads are probably dirty and just need cleaning? i use a canon mvx100i, ive been using jvc tapes these are cheap im also wondering if anyone can tell me which tapes they find give the best performance and where they get them from.

Thanks
Eric

I've never really seen any difference in any MiniDv tapes althought have only bought the leading brands, Sony, Panasonic, JVC etc.

What I would suggest is whatever brand you use stick with them as different makes of tape use different lubricants and these when mixed can damage the cameras heads
