hi guys,

i am looking for a new camcorder and need some advice on which to go for. I am currently using a 4 year old sony and want to upgrade it to something new.

We produce DVDs of some motorsport events such as car rallys, track racing etc so I need something that will cope well with fast action and differing lighting conditions.

Our outputs are only on DVD and occassionally we get some action put on TV so I dont think HD is necessary as we wont be broadcasting very much.

I would spend max £1500.

If anyone has any advice on HD and what the future of HD holds i would appreciate your feedback.

I think I would like to stick to the Sonys and possibly a 3CCD camcorder would do my trick.

I would say I am looking for something in the 'prosumer' area.
