Default Canon XM1 DVin?

Hi.

Can anybody tell me if there is a way to crak the Canon XM1 software to be able to us DV in?

I've been searching by internet and I've found ways to do it but with other canon cameras but not for the XM1.

Thanks

Hutu

This can usually be done by a cmera service outfit, or you can buy a 'dongle' that does it for most cameras. I dont have any specific idea of how this wks with the xl1 but i bet it can be done

Do you mean recording DV via firewire ??
My XM1 does this OKwithout tweaking - just put it into VCR mode and press record - no probs.
