Default New camera advice

Hello all,

I'm getting a bit miffed with worrying about my JVC GR-DX97 breaking down again, so i'm thinking of getting a new camcorder, perhaps with slightly better picture quality...

My maximum budget is around £450 I am not interested in DVD cameras, as I do not see the point in a format which is no-where near the quality of MiniDV based cameras.

Seeing as the DVD recorder recently popped its clogs, I think I'd also like one with A/D converter built in so I can fall back onto the computer if need be.

Any ideas guys?

Thanks in advance
