Default Help with a Sony DCR-TRV 16

Hi,

As titled i bought a Sony DCR-TRV 16 off ebay awhile back , but it didn't come with any instructions.

Could somebody tell me what the thread size is for filters etc, i can't find out anywhere on the net!!

Have a look at this link. For some reason your model's manual only comes in french. but the DCR TRV16e is in english. It might have the same specs.

cheers bud , turns out it's 30mm

one more thing , with wide angle lens when it says either 0.5, 0.6 or 0.7 which is the wider lense the smaller or larger the number?

My understanding with camera lenses is that 50mm is normal eyesight. Anything below 50mm is wide angle with 21mm being almost distorted - "fish eye". Anything above 50mm is telephoto.

Bear in mind I'm no expert on this so it might be worthwhile checking it out further.

I think max is actually talking about the lens diameter (30 mm for the HC series sounds plausible),
