I have a Panasonic DV 400d. To be honest I have no idea what I am talking about here. I am probably below novice knowlegde. However I am looking for someone who might be able to give me some ideas.

My Panasonic DV 400D seems to record fine, however when we play back the mini DVs or convert them to the PC the picture is Pixelated (hubby's term). We get streaks on the picture. The pixelated streaks sort of do the wave thing and then the picture will look good for a while. Any ideas?

hiya... it could be that you need to deinterlace your footage. see here: http://www.videoforums.co.uk/guide-faq-90.htm#1

are you capturing by firewire or USB?

The heads on your camera could also be dirty or clogged depending on the age your camera and the amount of usage. Did a message appear onscreen or did you see a warning icon flashing indicating this?
