ok... vat, shipping, import etc.
regardless... something is being sold for £750 one place and £2500 in another. i think sony is making too much money in the uk and this shouldn't be.
US$ prices never, ever match up in UK£ prices on any electronic goods from any manufacturer. We pay more for games consoles, PC equipment and loads of other things.

From experience, it seems to be whatever the price is in US$, the price in UK£ is the same number, or more expensive. However, Marc is right to be wary - it sounds like *too* good a price.

was not aware of all that.

in my eyes... buy a camera...maybe even a PC with the works. ship it to UK. and call it a day. you'd have a nitch in the industry..."hey, come let me record your event...it's garanteed to be unique"
then if they want more copies..they would have to come to you.

well I'll keep my ears open to see if it's a scam...you're right that most things that are really cheap sounds too good to be true, however, I don't know what too cheap is in this field, given I'm just now entering it.
