The ieee port on my camcorder hi 8mm has gone bad. It's a sony trv 520.
I would like to know what wire to use to dubb my hi 8mm cassette from my hi 8mm camcorder to the mini dv camera, and then into my computer.
Please advise.
For instance what type of wire should i use. what is the name of it. can i buy it from bestbuy.com?

if the Ieee port has broken, im not sure there is much you can do unless.

The camera has an S-video out... and the mini DV camera youre putting the video into has some sort of S-video In. Just look around your camera.
