Went to the Beach today, it was crap, should be better tomorrow, I hope.

Here's a short clip showing the zoom, there's no-one on the wave and it was very very foggy, but it gives you an idea of the range of the camera,
also I wasn't using a tripod and I had just got out so I was cold, and it was windy, I had the steady-shot function on though.

I've just noticed that it doesn't have DV-in!!!

I had assumed it would have, and never noticed on any of the websites I saw it on, it's not that much of a problem as I'm outputting to dvd, but it's annoying.

I'm going to look in to getting it enabled somehow.

For what it's worth, I've never archived back to DV.

I haven't used it since I got a dvd burner, but I wanted to put some footage on a tape for a friend to edit, so it's annoying me now.

I found this , and this, and others, but the compatability lists all stop at 2002 models.

Oh well. It's not the end of the world, I wouldn't want to use the stupid function anyway.
