Default Canon MVX35i Camcorder

I have a Canon MVX35I camcorder.
I can transfer by video to laptop and burn the video to a CD and a DVD+R but not a DVD-R.

I can see the files on the CD and DVD+R and can play them on the laptop OK.

I cannot play the CD or DVD+R on the 2 DVD players to allow me to see video on the TV screen. see disc error messages only on player.

What am I doing wrong.

Also, what is the difference between a DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RAM disc.

You are proobably not doing anything wrong. It is more likely that your DVD Players have a compatibility issue with DVD+R media. You can check this out at http://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers.

As a general rule you will have fewer compatibility issues with DVD-R, but you can check this at the same site.

Good luck
