Default Filming lightning with Panasonic

Filming lightning with panasonic nvgs27.
Okay, first I know its old camera and for making home videos.

Today I tried first time with lightning and I got couple good ones too.
But Im troubled with focus. I know I cant use automatic, so manual is the only way. But i don't know which way I must adjust it (- or +?). And I cant test it because you just can't focus lightning.

Tips about lightning appreciated.

Stick to shooting on wide angle aswell in low light. Sorry my mistake, it's lightning not lighting.

I like shooting lightening too. Like Nico says set for low light - this will help to show the illumination from the flash, but if you aslo want detail of the actual strike you will need to set the exposure to lower so your scene looks too dark but it will help to show detail in the strike.

When you edit it play with some slo mo - it looks well cool.
