Panasonic AG-DVX100-Recording External Components

I have a wireless camera reciever connected to the video in/out of the camcorder.

To see it, I have it in VCR(tape playback mode) and you see it fine.

I try to capture it "live" thru firewire in Vegas 8. You see it on the preview screen for a second then it says theres no tape.

I put a tape in and it plays it.

I try to record the camcorder input to the tape but nothing happens.

What could I do?
