Default upgrade or downgrade....?

Well, you know how someone would like to go fast in a car, but their luxury car isnt cutting it? And they sell it, buy a 10 thousand dollar car, and then soupe (sp?) it up with all the parts?

thats kind of what im doing.

after having the VX for about a month, i was very impressed with it. however, my friend left his VX1 here one night, and as i started to mess around with it during the day, and compared footage, i liked the VX1 better. and then i realized, hey, i could suope a VX1 up hella and spend just as much money as i did on the VX2000 (1800)

sooo i sold the VX2 and got a VX1 for only 1100. i got a battery modification done so some VX2 batteries would work for mine, and then bought a 3 inch LCD to slide into the hot shoe (hella tight)... then i bought a boom mic, and a used Mark 1 Fisheye. So my setup is twice as better now.

now my point is, the VX2s low light capabilties are much better. the VX1 does not do well with little light. but usually when im filming at night, weve got the halegen (dunno how to spell it ) lights up. so really, its not that much of a downgrade for all the upgrade i got. so maybe ill keep the VX1 and now save up for an XL1 to shoot short films with.

check me and the stallion out
