eek, kazaa? Like living dangerously do ya? That's an interlacing problem. Run deinterlacing filters in something like virtualdub and bob's your uncle.

Yep. I'll vouch for that. I use VirtualDub's deinterlacing filter on all my video before I do *anything* else with it.

VirtualDub is an amazing program. Far more invaluable than a lot of commercial programs.

download some bittorrent client like azureus and go to www.suprnova.org to get the .torrent file. then double click on it and you will download the file/folder. the .torrent file is the info that tells azureus/whatever where to get the file.

I tried bittorent from suprnova and got nowhere really fast.

Every single download I have tried has had a transfer rate of about 6 bytes an hours or something. I typically stop the download after half an hour when I only have a few hundred K or something.

Any ideas what I might be doing wrong? Wayne previously suggested to me that I just leave it and check the download in the morning but that's not an option for me. I'm not going to have my PC humming (as in noise not smell ) away in the corner of my room keeping me awake all night.

So my first impressions of bittorent is that it's completely useless! Possibly safer that Kazaa though in that you never get enough data downlaoded for it to hold a virus or anything

Or have I just been really unlucky? Peak files at peak times and all that.

I think you have mostly been unlucky. I have found that i get speeds much faster than on kazaa with bittorrent.

maybe you can answer me this then as well.

While doing a download from there why do I have an upload rate higher than the download. Does this mean someone is picking through my PC?

After al they can't be uploading the same file as I'm downloading AND do it faster than I'm getting it can they.

I'm convinced the thing's crooked and up to no good. I suggest people avoid it like the plague until they add some bloody documentation explaining tis.

lol...

Bittorrent allows people to upload from u while ur downloading

The only reason ur upload is higher than ur download because the people that u are downloading from have crappy internet

i mainly use irc
