Default DV IN & DV OUT

Forgive my ignorance but am new to all this !!!

I am looking to buy a DV camcorder which will allow me to download to my PC via Firewire and then burn to dvd.

The one I am looking at has DV out but not DV in. Will this allow me to do what I want ?

Thanks

Yes. The "DV out" bit means video can be transferred out of your camcorder to another device (such as a PC) via firewire. DV in enabled cameras can accept incoming signals via firewire to record back to tape.
