Default Spend my money!

Hi all newbie here I have been a keen outdoorsman and Naturalist for years and do a great deal of traveling but have only been a Camera and Picture man, Id like to get into Video'ing my exploits and the things i see on my travels, ive got a Budjet of about £1000 whats your advice on what to get? you probably hear this question all the time Ive been looking at the JVC, Cannon and Sony ranges........ Well its good to see one person has a key board cheers mate, i thought id have more luck on this forum seeing it is full of cam wizards, oh well ill see if theres a friendly forum about where i can ask questions and get reply's

I wish I could help you more. I guess if you were more specific, the camera peeps might help more.

How pro looking does the footage need to be (£1,000 isn't a lot for the cameras that professionals use)?

I wish you luck in a answer on this forum or another anyway!

For my money a s/h SD dv camera like a pd170 / xl2 / xm1 / pdx10 / dx100 will give better results than any new 1000 quid hdv cam.

Bargains are to be had in the SD market as imperssonable gadget freaks buy hdv cameras.
