Default HELP!! How do I use a SONY DCR-SR52E with Windows Movie Maker

Hi,

I'm hoping someone can help me. I've got some footage on a Sony DCR-SR52E that I need to edit and put together onto a DVD and I'm trying to use Windows movie maker as I only want something basic. I can't import files from the camcorder into Movie Maker as I need a Codec, I've hunted round and the best I can do is find one that allows me to import the files but I only get the audio and not the video.

Can anyone help me at all??? I'm a technical numpty and so please, the easier and less complicated the better!

Many thanks
Bentos
