0 Videos nominated Video Of the Month(s): 0 | | Rode VideoMic on JVC GR-DF420
Just purchased a Rode VideoMic. primarily to be used on a boom, but would also like to mount on my JVC GR-DF420. The problem I have is that the knurled wheel on the VideoMic (which clamps the mounting in the hot shoe) has a rather large diameter and the shoe on the JVC isn't the highest part of the camera. In consequence the tape bay part of the camera prevents gets in the way of the knurled wheel and it is impossible to fit the VideoMic onto the shoe.
What I guess I need is some sort of extender which will effectively raise the height of the shoe by maybe 15mm.
Any offers? Or any other suggestions?
