Question I NEED HELP!!! Megapixels and HD

I'm really confused. At the moment I have a Vivitar DVR-510 camcorder which is 5 megapixels. I am thinking of buying the Sanyo HD1000 which is around 4 megapixels, but is an HD camcorder. Which has the best quality for computer playback?

By HD do you mean High Definition or hard disk? If it is High Definition then by all means look at it, but the megapixels you quote appear to be the size of still image it takes and not the quality of the video.

I meant High def. So I'm guessing HD is alot better quality than 5 megapixels on a normal camera?

The megapixels you refer to are the size of still image you can take, not the quality of the video.
