I recently hooked up my Sony DCR-TRV14 to my computer via USB so I can use it as a webcam sometimes. The problem is it automatically turns off after 5 mins of being on without recording, to save battery life. This is such a pain, because it means I have to keep reconnecting the camera etc each time.
I'm sure there is a way round this auto-off thing, anyone else got a Sony and know how to turn the function off?
Thanks, Dom

it still goes off after 3 mins, which is crazy. I find it really annoying because I cant record time-lapse with my computer.
