Hi, I have an Panasonic NV-GS17 that just have gone totally dead on me. When I try to switch on the power, absolutely nothing happens... The battery is okay and I've tried with the supply from the charger as well, but nothing happens. Would be so grateful for any useful advice on what to do . It has not been hit or mistreated in any way.

How old is your camcorder? Have you checked the connections on the battery, are they clean or do they have a covering on them? and what about the battery connections on the camcorder itself? What about the cables, what are they like? If that fails and the camcorder is less than a year old then enquire about getting it fixed, but more than likely it might be cheaper to buy a new camcorder.
