Default Increasing noise on samsung vp-D361

Hi everyone,

I came across this forum while searching for a resolution to my camera problem.

My Samsung Mini DV camera has had motor noise from the word go but not enough to really effect any of my footage.

Recently however it has gotten excessively louder and the noise dominates anything I record and I mean everything! If I leave the camera off for a few days it fades off but comes back within 20 or so mins when recording. Could anyone suggest a remedy to this problem?

Thanks.

If it's still under guarantee, then take it back to the shop, it sounds like there definitely is a problem with it.

Hi again, unfortunatley theres no warranty left on the camera. I was hoping to avoid the bill but if no one has any suggestions on prehaps repairing myself I will go ahead and take the camera in.

Thanks,
Rob

You may be surprised to hear that the repair costs almost as much as a new camcorder, if you decide to take it back. I don't recall recently anyway of anyone else on the forum saying they had a similar problem with a Samsung.

Ok, Thanks for your help.

Think ille leave it for the moment. see what sort of price I can get for repair but ile probably end up with a new one and hopefully posting plenty of Interesting noise free Footage.

Thanks Again
Rob
