Re-Re-Cassette

I have a Sony DCR-TRV480E Camcorder. I can record about 3/4 on casette tape and then it stops with message "re-insert tape" when I do it will not rewind forward or back and still get same message. If i rewind same tape on a Video 8 Rewinder and then try again no problem. This has happened on 2 tapes. Tapes are Hi8 MP90
Tried head cleaning tape just now (Tue) and same problem
