Crackling noise JVC everio

Hi guys. Don't know if anyone can help. I've brought a jvc camcorder on ebay (mg-gz50ek). It works very well apart from when i playback recordings(on t.v or on the camcorder itself) there's this annoying cracking noise every now and again. I've tried the noise reduction setting but it doesn't help. Can anyone out there help or have i been ripped off?????????????????
