Default Sony cameras

hi guys

Im about to invest in a mid-range camera for commercial work. I would like your advice, on what to get and what to avoid. my budget is about £2500.

Ive looked online for customer reviews of a few sony cameras, but there seems to be so much variation. Can anyone shed some light on the following camera

sony hvr
sony hvr a1e
