Medion 505 and Windows Vista???

bought for holiday but vista doesn't recognize the driver nor will it let me use the dang thing via any cable as obviously no driver installed-tried installing driver with compatibility mode but still no joy
any ideas?looked everywhere for driver update or different driver compatible for camera but also no luck yet
please help
