Default Sony DCR-PC53e and Vista

Has anyone sucsessfully managed to connect this camcorder to a PC/Laptop running Vista Home Basic.

According to the Sony website, no drivers are required.

When plugged in via USB Vista see's the new hardware but cannot find any suitable driver for the device.

The Sony site does not have any Vista drivers for this product and do have a very small print item stating that the camcoder cannot be used with the 64 bit edition or Starter edition of Vista.

Anyone out there help?

Cheers

Tony
