Exclamation HDR HC3 Very big problem :(

Last night, I was using my HC3, not in any particular harsh way or environment, just filming some pictures of my pet dog.

Then, I switch the camera off, and place it on the shelf, tomorrow morning, I wake up, pick the camera up exactly where I left it -

But!

The Lens cap no longer opens when the system is switched on and the screen has white lines running up and down it on one side and the on-screen-display is all 'glitched' and duplicated with bits missing..

What the hell happened?
I did not send 700 quid on a fucking video camera for it to do that!
