Default Help needed for panasonic nvgs17 transfering video.

Hello,

I've bought a Panasonic nvgs17 mini DV camcorder and trying to transfer the videos via firewire but it doesnt work. It seems that my pc does not recognise the camera. Is this a problem of the firewire drivers?
The only way i managed to transfer the video is through usb cable but in low resolution (320x240) with windows movie maker.
Is there a way to transfer the video in high resolution/quality using firewire cable?

Thanks for your help

Have you tried to connect to another computer, or tried a different camera with your computer. This may indicate where the problem lies if you can do so.
