Default Transferring Sony DCR-DVD105E DVD to DVDR Hard Disk

Hi,

Having noted the editing issues in Reviews of the Sony DCR DVD105E, is it possible to take the DVD (once finalised) from the camcorder, stick it in my hard disk DVD Recorder (in my case a Sony RDR-HX510) and copy the content to the hard disk.
Then I'm free to edit what I want on my DVDRecorder.

It all sounds simple, but knowing that things aren't normally that simple, I could be wrong!

Am I right and I can do this?

Or am I right, and it's not that simple?!

cheers
Tony
