Talking Which is better?

Hi there

Yes, I'm afraid I'm just another novice looking for some help.....

I'm going to be filming some short movies and was wondering which camera you guys think would be best to use.

Sony HDR-FX1 MiniDV Camcorder
Canon XL2 MiniDV Camcorder
Panasonic AG-HVX-200 P2

I like the specs of the Canon and the Panasonic, especially the manual over/undercranking feature available on the latter. I would also like the camera to work well in low lighting environments and be easily connectable to a laptop. I've heard rumours that the motor sounds are picked up on the on-board mic when using the Sony, but I've also heard that it has a lot of features for the price.

Any help would be very greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much,

Dante.

Out of those three, I'd definitely go with Panasonic AG-HVX-200 P2.
It shoots 24P also. Here's a good comparison chart:

Thanks craig07,

I had actually just all but sold myself on a Panasonic AG-DVX100. The definition is not as important to me as the film look, and i figured i could probably get 2 for the price of 1 HVX200, or at least 1 DVX100 and a lot more extras (decent mic, tripod, software etc).
Is the HVX really worth the extra money?
