Default Battery Advice for Sony DCR-70e

I have purchased the above mentioned camcorder. However, people have mentioned that the battery life(np-50) is not long. I was thinking of purchasing an alternative to sony fp-np90 battery. Could somebody point me in the right direction. I have checked couple of websites but they dont ensure compatibility with the above camcorder.
