first of all i'm using Vegas 4.0. i have seen documentaries on how people use green screens to put different background scenes behind things. i'm new to video editing so i don't know the terminology but how would i even start to go about doing this? i want to record in say my recording studio then edit in a different scenary. sorry if i sound a little clueless but i guess i am :lol:

The term is Chroma Key. Vegas does a good job of it, look under Video FX. Just make sure that you are shooting against a background that is chromatically different enough from any of the colours in your subject. Vegas will effectively block that colour out. Hope this helps!
