Thread: Best way to export from PPro CS3 for DVD authoring?

1. Export > Movie > Import into Encore and build a ISO image file - transcoding takes alot of time!

or

2. Export > MPEG2 DVD > Import into Encore and buld a ISO image - would this take up the same amount of time as option 1?

Any other methods would be welcome...im trying to work out the quickest way to create a DVD - my projects are normally min 2.5hrs long.

In all honesty i think it's much of a muchness. Whether the transcoding takes place in Encore or in Premier it;s still got to happen and so the same amount of workis needs doing either way.

Easiest answer is do some testing. Create a ten minute timeline in Premiere and simply time both routes.
