| | Good to see a new section dedicated to HD
Let me be the first to say it is great to see a new section on the forum about AVCHD and HDV editing. I'm sure over the coming weeks and months this section will see a lot of activity as SD gives way to HD. Thanks Marc.

It's not often we add a new section, but a whisper in the right ear can do wonders. I've perhaps been blinded by my own learning curve to understand that others would have the same. Ironic given that the reason I started this site was because I orginally faced such a steep curve of knowledge. Anyhow, the thanks to the new section are due elsewhere...

Having seen the excellent results you (Marc) shot with your SD9, the quality is excellent for such a small camcorder, I think anyone who is still doubting as to whether or not to go down the HD route may have their minds made up for them by watching your recent videos.

Marc, which software did you use to down convert to SD? It did a good job whatever it is.
