I'd really appreciate some advice if possible - I've ploughed through my Premier Pro Manual and can't find the solution. I've taken footage of somebody walking at a fairly slow speed. The image is fine when viewed on my PC monitor and camcorder screen, but when I burn it to a dvd and then view on my TV, there's a strange effect - some of the image/colours seem to stay put and then there is movement behind it. It's as if some of the film is sluggish. Hope that makes sense.

I was wondering if it has anything to do with the encoding options. I'm using PAL 4x3 low quality 3MB VBR 2 Pass. There are so many encoding options that I don't know if I'm using the right one or not.

Any thoughts or ideas would be welcome. Thank you.

Your computer setup doesn't seem to be the problem, I would suggest you check to see when you last defragmented your hard disk. I take it you are using Firewire to connect your camcorder to your computer and not USB? And finally try changing the settings around in PAL 4x3 low quality 3MB VBR 2 Pass - change to high quality 6Mb or 7Mb CBR and see if the software will still let you burn to DVD - you'll know if it the settings are too high as the BURN button will be greyed out, if it is reduce some of the settings and see if the BURN button becomes available again. If you can get away with using high quality 7Mb CBR then use it.

Thanks for the advice. I'm using Firewire. I'll defrag the hard disk as this hasn't been done for a while and will then try burning to a higher quality but suspect I'll have a problem as my video is an hour and 20 minutes.
