Default Audio tricks in Premiere Elements

Hi all

Need a bit of help (more help!) with Premiere Elements...

I have 2 audio tracks on a piece I am editing at the moment - 1 is a music track and one is audio from the actual footage. Basically I would like the music to become quieter when it detects voices on the audio but also play at full volume during the quiet times when there are no voices (you know what I mean ;o) ). Is this possible in Premiere Elements? Is there a plug-in or effect I can apply to the 2 audio tracks?

Any help or pointers are much appreciated.

Thanks

I dont use Elements, I use Pro but I dont know of any way around it. I think you may have to bite the bullet and do it manually!!

Sorry

I don't know of an automatic way to do it using a plug in, but there are fade in and fade out transitions in PremPro, don't know what the score is with Prem Elem. You could just zoom in to frame level and lock the tracks you don't want to edit and place cuts at the points where you want the music to fade down and the audio to fade up. Put a keyframe at the start set a 0.0 and then go to the end of the audio piece and place another keyframe and set it to infinity (where the audio fades out completely) - do the opposite when you want to fade the audio in.
