Default resizing to video to make seem wider

hello, i have a simple question.i shot some footage in 16 by 9 widescreen, i know how to make it widesreen and all but is there a way to resize it more so it looks like this ?

Simply crop the top and bottom of your video.

what i ment was, is there a way resize the original video to the size in between the black bars ? instead of just cutting the top and bottom of the original video ?

In PE2, uncheck the 'Contrain proportions' box in the Motion property, then you can resize horizontal and vertical separately.
