Hi all ... I'm on a Mac with all OSX and Qtime up to date with the lastest versions but can't get audio into after effects (vers 6.5) (it's there 'cause I can hear it in the finder) but I don't even see the waveform in AE ... I've tried everything and have just thought that maybe there could be a conflict. I have a Sony DCR HC19 E and a Canon Ixus ... I have recently downloaded movies from both of these cameras ... is it possible that there has been a codec (or something) that has been added to my system that is causing the grief ... I've had a good look in all the obvious places but with no luck ... any thoughts most welcome and thanks for your time ... Roger

Check the audio settings in AE6.5 as I'm certain there is something in one of the menu's that has to be checked for you to hear the audio track.

Thanks for that but no there's not even a waveform ....

I think what Nikosony is implying is that if you find the right setting then it will all wake up.
