Quick Question

Hi,

I remember reading a while ago a how to topic which took a piece of footage then made it look like a photo was still photo was taken then the footage would carry on as normale. (apols if that doesn't make much sense)
However i cannot find it.

Could anyone help please?

Sorry, i just re-read it myself and realise it doesn't make much sense!!lol
This is the effect im after.
I have some footage of a wedding and i want it too look like someone has taken a photo of the couple with the camera noise (already have that) and then a still image to appear looking like the photo has just been taken.
Then i want the footage to resume as normal.

I remember seeing it as a tutorial a while ago.
Hope that makes more sense if not sorry!!

I would just razor the clip at the photo moment, export the frame at that moment, import it into photoshop or whatever image app' you use and de-interlace, add a white border maybe and a tint or something (sepia if your feeling especially corny), then import that into premiere, do a white flash style transition from the footage to the photo then a quick cross-fade or just a straight cut back to the original footage afterwards.

I'll see if I can do a quick example.

Instead of using the Razor, just position the playback head over the frame on the timeline that you wish to use as your 'snapshot' (get one where the camera is still) and go FILE-EXPORT-FRAME and save as a Jpeg or Tiff. Then just continue on in Photoshop as explained by bgarthp.

that's what I meant, not the most coherant description in my original post, I just meant make sure you export the frame exactly where you split/razor the clip.
