Default True that premiere cannot capture by USB?

Is it true that Adobe Premiere Elements 1.0 cannot capture if your camera (JVC GR-DX25) is connected with an USB kabel?

I first search for drivers but could not found them. My camera is working with other software like ImageMixer With VCD Ver.1.1. But I cannot get it to work with premiere

Hope to hear from you soon. And If there is a good alternatief for ImageMixer With VCD Ver.1.1 than I am also glad to here that

Bye
Bjorn

In my experience even Windows Movie Maker is far superior to ImageMixer, and Premiere Elements is a good choice of editing app'.

I doubt Premiere will let you capture with USB, but that's unimportant as you should be capturing with firewire anyway, it'll give you much better quality and far fewer problems.

Get yourself a firewire cable (and card if needed) and capture using Premiere.

Then chuck Imagemixer in the bin.

Thanks for your reply.

I think I have to look for a capture card then.

Good bye

It is true. It does not capture in USB only Firewire.

Check your computer to see if it might have a Firewire socket before you go out and purchase a PCI Firewire card. Firewire will give you much higher picture quality and it also carries sound.
