Default Sync problems after rendering

Hi
I have Premier Pro and am syncing video to music. In editing they sync perfectly but when I render them they gradually go out of sync. It seems the problem is that there are dropped frames in the video that the program deletes. Is there anyway to stop dropped frames from being deleted??
I am using SVHS video and converting to mpeg2 and using a CD recording of the live concert. As I said, no problems with editing etc, only once rendered.
Any suggestions, or any links to other pages would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Rooster
