I'm very new to premiere pro and I'm having some trouble with my first project.
I need to put in subtitles on my video.
I've dled the eztitles plugin but I cant figure out how to access it.
Can I simply draw a black box add white text and superimpose it over the video?
Do I need to add a layer? and if so how do I do that?
I'm sorry if these questions are pedestrian but I'm in a bit of a rush to get this done and I dont have the time right now to go through all of the tutorials.

Not familiar with that plugin. But why did you choose not to use the built-in title tool in Premiere Pro and just pick a suitable 'bottom-third' template for your subtitles.

Thanks you for your quick reply.
I'm trying to run before I learn to walk with this project.
I'm struggling a bit with the title editor . I can set it up but when I think I've adjusted the background to 100% opacity, every time I bring it in, its solid black.
Is the work flow set up so that you have clips on different tracks? and then you put the title on the effect track? Or do you just drop on top of your clip?
How do you set up the time of the superimposed clip?
I know I should be doing the tutorials but as I said I'm time crunched right now and don't have the budget to have a pro do this for me.

in the title tool, just tick the checkbox at the top that says something like 'Show video' to allow you to see your titles over the top of your video. no need to play with opacity.
If you're using PPro v2 then this is all covered quite well in the first few pages of chapter 11 on pages 269 to 281. Those few pages should give you allyou need for now.
