Hi guys

How do I convert a wide screen production to 4:3 aspect ratio with adobe Premier 1.5? This is for export to DVD and VHS

ive imported widescreen footage from a high end camera before into a project that is set for 4:3 and when u drop it into the time line it does it for you.. but downside is you have to render it, as shown by the red line above the dropped footage.. so if your project is 4:3 and u import 16:9 all you'll have to do is drop it in the timeline... at least thats what mine does

edit: i reread your post and do you mean that you have footage in 16:9 that you want to make 4:3 or do you have a project done in 16:9 that you want easily converted to 4:3.. any way you could just import the end product but im sure someone knows an easier way than that.

Thanks for the reply. I'm importing downcoverted high definition, so as you say if I set the project up as pal 4:3 it should trim the edges of the 16:9 without distorting the picture.
