Default Adobe Premiere Elements 2.0 - Different File Types...

Hi,

I am creating a video.

I have shots of two angles which I need to incorporate.

One was created in 4:3 format, using a Sony Digital 8 camcorder and transferred to the computer using a AtoD Convertor (Canopus ADVC-55). Hence it is in .avi (DV) file format.

However, the other angle was filmed using a Sony Handycam, which records straight to DVD. And in 16:9 format (And resolution is different too).

The new project is set up for 4:3, with a resolution of 720x576.

When I import the main angle, its fine.

However, the other one is loaded up distorted.

How can this be resolved?

Thanks.

PS:

Here are some pics to show what I mean:

I don't know if APE2 has cropping on it but you could try cropping your 16:9 footage and see how it looks. If you managed to get the main action in a frame the same size as your other piece of video it would certainly help.
