Default jerky movie

Hi,

I just burnt my first movie of about 30 mins of analogue tape to DVD.
I used Encore DVD 1.5 to create menus and encoding.
I encoded using 7mb VBR 2 pass, etc....

Once I put the DVD into my player the picture is very jerky when the picture moves in any direction.

Did I use an incorrect encoding setting.
Should I have used CBR pass instead.

Is it something I am doing wrong or should I use some other software to encode.

Thanks in advance.

Did the movie playback alright on the original tapes? And did it playback alright on the computer aswell? Finally, what spec is your computer? I used that 7Mb setting recently and the disk turned out alright.

Thanks for the reply.

I am using a pentium 2.2 hz laptop unfortunately.

I fixed the proeblem by encoding using the CBR code.
